| 31st Jan 2011: Shanghai
Arrive at the port in Shanghai and board the ship. Settle into your cabin at your leisure and acquaint yourself with Le Diamant.
1st Feb: Shanghai
Discover the modern city of Shanghai and its dramatic sky line. Admire the historical landmarks of the City God Temple and the Oriental Pearl Tower. China is one of the oldest civilisations in the world and you will have the privilege of being invited into this mysterious and enigmatic country as you cruise along the mighty Yangtze River today.
2nd Feb: Nanjing
Arrive in Nanjing, one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, as chosen by the Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, founder of the Ming dynasty. Located on the south bank of the Yangtze, this city is rich in culture and history, holding claim to an array of historical sites, memorials and museums. Today, the city maintains its historical significance but is also home to a distinguished university, being the birthplace of modern science in China. You may wish to visit the Mausoleum whilst you are here, which houses Doctor Sun Yat-Sen and the regal tomb of the first Ming Emperor, positioned at the foot of the Purple Mountain.
3rd Feb: At Sea
Take this opportunity at sea to enjoy the facilities on board Le Diamant or simply relax on the sun deck and take in the amazing scenery.
4th Feb: Qingdao
Arrive in Qingdao, a flourishing seaside resort and home to China's largest brewery, producing the popular Tsingtao brand of beer. This lively city is situated to the south of Shandong province and is nestled amidst the green hills on the banks of the Yellow River. The Temple of the Supreme Guide from the Song Dynasty can be found in Qingdao, as well as Huiquan, famous for its soft sands and calm waters.
5th Feb: At Sea
Today is spent cruising at sea. Enjoy a massage or simply lie out by the pool and relax.
6th Feb: Incheon
Arrive today in Incheon, South Korea's third largest metropolis and most important transport hub. From here you will have the opportunity to visit the South Korean capital of Seoul, enjoying a stunning location between mountains and the Han River. There is an eclectic mix of old and new in Incheon, with modern skyscrapers forming a backdrop against beautiful ancient palaces. The Gyeongbokgung was once the principal palace of the Chosun Dynasty and is immaculately preserved. The Hyangwon-jeong, which is situated to the north of the palace, is a hexagonal pavilion encircled by a lotus pond – a rare and extremely beautiful sight to behold.
7th Feb: At Sea
Enjoy all the features of the Le Diamant during this day at sea.
8th Feb: Tianjin-Beijing
Arrive in Tianjin this morning and disembark the ship after breakfast.
